Overview

SafetyWing (YC W18) is seeking a Customer Care Specialist interested in building a global safety net with us. Our top priority is to help our customers find solutions that help them get what they want and need. Within the boundaries of honesty and effective communication, we aim to have conversations that make our customers not only happy supporters of SafetyWing, but happy in general.

In Short

  • Answer customer questions via live chat, email, and phone support.
  • Proactively look at how to improve the customer experience.
  • Work independently and be a problem-solver.
  • Comfortable working on weekends with shifts between 4 and 8 hours long.
  • Available for up to 25 hours a week with flexibility for additional hours.
  • Extra shine if you have experience with insurance, customer service, or healthcare.
  • Comfortable working within the Americas zones.
  • Fully remote work environment.
  • A part-time opportunity for a long-term contract.
  • Compensated time off each year.

Requirements

  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently and be a problem-solver.
  • Comfortable working on weekends.
  • Experience with insurance, customer service, or healthcare is a plus.
  • Willingness to help build a global social safety net.
