Packaging Technical Services Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Technical Service Specialist provides on-site and remote support for both RRD production operations and clients within the Packaging Platform, ensuring optimal performance of production equipment and assisting in troubleshooting production issues.

• Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to support new product introductions.
• Travel to client locations to investigate performance issues.
• Advise clients on improved methods for equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Conduct product trials and testing to evaluate materials.
• Coordinate travel to conduct machine audits and collect performance information.
• Troubleshoot existing problems and provide cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of service calls and technical reports.
• Collaborate with Technical Project Managers on analyzing designs.
• Assist in developing procedures for reducing process variation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities related to materials and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical support role in the packaging industry.
• Mechanical skills in equipment setup and troubleshooting.
• Advanced training in cGMPs and ISO.
• Understanding of federal regulations and company procedures.
• Preferred experience operating packaging equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office Suite required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
