Packaging Technical Services Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Technical Service Specialist provides on-site and remote support for both RRD production operations and clients within the Packaging Platform, ensuring optimal performance of production equipment and assisting clients in achieving high-quality output and efficiency.

In Short

• Collaborate with R&D and sales teams to support new product introductions and resolve client concerns.
• Travel to client locations to investigate performance issues and provide corrective resolutions.
• Advise clients on improved methods and conduct product trials.
• Troubleshoot existing problems and provide creative cost-effective solutions.
• Maintain detailed records of service calls and technical reports.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities related to materials and efficiency.
• Assist in developing procedures for reducing process variation.
• Collaborate with client Technical Project Managers on analyzing vendor designs.
• Ensure quality standards are met and assist manufacturing personnel.
• Interact with customers regarding quality and production issues.

Requirements

• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technical support role within the packaging industry.
• Advanced training or experience in cGMPs and ISO.
• Ability to interpret federal regulations and company operating procedures.
• Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
