Tax Accountant, Indirect Tax - Remote

Join Rover as a Tax Accountant and make an impact by supporting our mission to connect pet parents with loving pet sitters and dog walkers. You will be part of a growing tax team responsible for various indirect tax-related tasks, including preparation of state and local returns.

In Short

• Prepare federal, state, and local filings focused on indirect taxes.
• Assist in tax information reporting processes.
• Engage with tax authorities on discrepancies.
• Support customer service inquiries related to indirect tax.
• Maintain and reconcile indirect tax GL accounts.
• Contribute to monthly financial statement close processes.
• Work with the legal team on sensitive information verification.
• Participate in other tax projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Basic knowledge of indirect tax.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
