Senior Backend Developer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our team working on one of the key projects in the Bitcoin and FinTech industry.

In Short

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement new features, improvements, and fixes to the Rootstock reference client.
• Ensure Rootstock is secure and robust, capable of executing a high volume of transactions without disruption.
• Implement new features expanding our network, ensuring that we remain compatible with the EVM.
• Improve the user experience of Rootstock technologies, making it easy for developers and users to build on top of the platform.
• Participate in design and code reviews, ensuring best engineering practices are followed.
• Help to document new features, provide support and help for the builders and contributors from Rootstock.
• Contribute to one of the most exciting open-source projects in the blockchain industry.
• Engage with an international community of contributors and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented programming, particularly Java.
• Thrives in collaboration with your teammates, efficiently communicating with your team using the communications tools.
• Proven experience working on technologically challenging and complex projects.
• Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English; Spanish is a strong plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Web3 (experience with protocol development is a plus).
• Knowledge of Bitcoin or Ethereum is an advantage.
• High regard for security in software development.
