Overview

Roots is seeking a motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our growing Automation team and help shape the future of how businesses use AI to drive speed, accuracy, and scale.

In Short

Develop and refine automation solutions through direct Python development.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI/ML experts.
Architect and build advanced automations and reusable components.
Engage directly with clients to tailor solutions to their needs.
Stay current with emerging technologies in AI and LLMs.
Design and implement API integrations using REST or SOAP.
Mentor and support junior developers.

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience with Python.
Strong communication skills with business stakeholders.
Experience with cloud frameworks (Azure preferred).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
Start-up experience preferred.
Proven track record of managing large-scale projects in Agile/Scrum.
