HR Generalist - Remote

Overview

Roots is seeking a motivated HR Generalist to join our growing team and help scale and support our People operations. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a seamless employee experience while supporting core HR processes across the full employee lifecycle.

In Short

• Support new hire onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation.
• Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
• Coordinate visa and immigration processes.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. employment laws and internal policies.
• Support employee relations matters with professionalism.
• Contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives.
• Provide administrative and project support across the People team.
• Help improve and scale HR processes, systems, and documentation.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.
• Experience with an HRIS (Rippling preferred).
• Familiarity with U.S. employment law and HR compliance practices.
• Exposure to visa/immigration processes.
• Strong employee relations judgment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
