Lead Full Stack Engineer - Remote

Overview

Roo is looking for a passionate, skilled, and driven Lead Full Stack Engineer to help build out Roo’s web application for animal hospitals, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians. We’re a fast moving team that’s rapidly building out new features for our fast growing platform.

In Short

• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build new products and features.
• Shape Roo’s technical architecture and tech stack.
• Lead projects from conceptualization to deployment.
• Design and develop scalable code architecture.
• Monitor project progress and manage resources.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
• Manage and mentor a small team of engineers.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience with JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Experience in a growing team and early stage startup.
• B2B, Marketplace, and/or SaaS experience preferred.
• Proficient in SQL queries.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with TypeScript, CSS, Cloud Computing, and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Cypress, React Native, and AWS is a plus.
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field preferred.
• Highly self-driven and problem-solving oriented.

• Preference for hands-on coding with some management duties.
