Senior Mechanical Engineer/Designer - Plumbing (Healthcare) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for coordinating the design of Plumbing and Fire Suppression systems with team members during all phases of the design delivery and construction processes.

In Short

• Interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments.
• Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
• Creating design documents for construction including drawings and specifications.
• Providing consulting services and preparing due diligence reports.
• Coordinating with design teams, owners, and contractors.
• Applying design standards, specifications, and criteria.
• Performing field investigations to validate site conditions.
• Completing engineering-related activities throughout the design delivery process.
• Adjusting work hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) preferred.
• NICET and/or CPD certification preferred.
• Familiarity with ASPE/NFPA/IBC/FBC criteria.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with plumbing and fire suppression sizing requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
