Accounting Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for participating in and completing the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and month-end close processes, and performing general accounting duties within the Accounting Department.

In Short

• Perform Accounts Payable duties including invoice processing and tracking.
• Review AP Consultant invoices against agreements and track approvals.
• Create new Accounts Payable firms in the ERP system.
• Research discrepancies with AP and AR invoices.
• Enter project-related data into the Accounting system.
• Prepare draft and final billings to clients.
• Support Project Managers with billing and projects.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma; Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum three years of related experience.
• Strong knowledge of PC-based systems and applications.
• Understanding of Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent collaboration and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint software is a plus.
