Accounting Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Accounting Specialist supports transportation clients with bookkeeping and financial reporting, requiring attention to detail and efficient task management in a fast-paced environment.

In Short

• Accurately record income and expenses for financial statements and tax preparation.
• Implement and manage value-based billing for transportation clients.
• Assist client support staff with inquiries related to tax returns and financial matters.
• Advise clients on forming S Corporations for their transportation businesses.
• Manage the quarterly estimate bill pay program for clients.
• Prepare and file 1099 and 2290 forms for compliance.
• Support the Transportation Department with various projects.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of Schedule C, 1099s, and S Corporation tax structures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Pass a CJIS background check.
