Overview

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) plays a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by serving as the first point of contact, assisting with scheduling, and providing vital support throughout the patient journey.

In Short

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage and explain patient financial responsibilities.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries.
• Maintain and update patient records following HIPAA guidelines.
• Work closely with peers and providers to ensure quality care.
• Educate patients about clinic policies.
• Ensure all patient information is accurate and up to date.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Customer service experience and excellent organizational skills.
• 12+ months of medical office experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology.
• Completion of a medical assistance program from an accredited institution preferred.
• Dependable, professional, and empathetic.
• Mobility to sit for extended periods and move around the clinic.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and electronically.
