Overview

The Pharmacy Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling inquiries related to pharmacy benefits, assisting members and providers, and ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.

In Short

  • Handles calls and correspondence regarding pharmacy benefit inquiries.
  • Communicates issues and resolutions to members and providers.
  • Documents calls within a call tracking system.
  • Assists network pharmacies in processing prescription claims.
  • Serves as a customer advocate in problem resolution.
  • Creates an environment fostering teamwork and respect.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Active/Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a health plan, TPA or PBM contact center.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and empathetic.
  • Prior experience in health plan or PBM contact center.
  • Effective problem-solver with solid communication skills.
