Payroll Risk & Compliance Principal - Nordics - Remote

Overview

As the Nordics Risk & Compliance Expert, you will be the accountable owner of payroll compliance across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland, ensuring that compliance is integrated into Remote’s payroll platform.

• Hold personal statutory accountability for Norwegian payroll assignments.
• Embed Nordic legislation into product logic, systems, and governance frameworks.

• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Legal, and Operations.
• Influence how compliance is operationalised across the Nordics.
• Drive innovation in automation and AI-assisted compliance tooling.
• Develop future compliance leaders through structured coaching programs.
• Shape product logic and automation frameworks that scale globally.

Requirements

• Active Autorisert Regnskapsfører licence (mandatory).
• Deep Norwegian payroll expertise with hands-on experience.
• Understanding of legislative requirements and payroll calculations.
• Working knowledge of compliance in Sweden, Denmark, and/or Finland.
• Experience leading audits and designing governance frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear guidance.
• Experience in mentoring and elevating team capabilities.
• Thrives in an async, fast-changing, fully distributed environment.
• Demonstrates strong automation and AI capabilities.
