Overview

The Cash Application Specialist at RemoFirst will be responsible for managing cash receipts and disbursements, ensuring accurate financial records, and collaborating with finance and client support teams in a remote work environment.

• Monitor daily bank accounts.
• Process cash receipts and disbursements.
• Handle bank fee charge-offs.
• Maintain records for auditing purposes.
• Identify unapplied cash amounts.
• Prepare daily and monthly cash reconciliations.
• Investigate cash receipt/disbursement queries.
• Support Senior Finance Operations Manager.
• Implement process improvements.
• Other ad-hoc finance tasks.

Requirements

• 2-year accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of cash application experience required.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies.
• Comfortable working autonomously and in a team.
• High-level numeracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with high volume cash processing.
• Experience with electronic payment systems is a plus.
