Geospatial Software Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable geospatial APIs, services, and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with science teams, product managers, and other backend engineers.
• Brainstorm features with engineering management and domain experts.
• Review and mentor other engineers on code.
• Breakdown work into clearly defined tasks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Python for production data pipelines.
• Experience with raster and vector data structures and geospatial libraries/tools.
• Skilled in manipulating multi-dimensional raster data.
• Exposure to geospatial data standards.
• Experience creating and deploying data processing workflows.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs with Python frameworks.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehouses.
• Experience deploying apps/services on cloud platforms.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Well-versed in Kubernetes and Docker.
