OpenShift Architect - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned OpenShift Architect to join our team. In this role, you’ll be a key driver of technical strategy and decision-making for our OpenShift platform.

In Short

• Establish and maintain architectural vision for the OpenShift platform.
• Collaborate with product management to define the roadmap.
• Provide strategic guidance on timelines and business priorities.
• Mentor engineers and technical leaders across the organization.
• Drive cross-cutting initiatives across multiple teams.
• Act as the final technical decision-maker when needed.
• Coordinate release schedules, particularly around Kubernetes releases.
• Own revert decisions across any merge into OpenShift codebase.
• Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing LLMs for enhancing problem-solving efficiency.
• Participate in hiring and staffing discussions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technical leader or architect in a complex software environment.
• Deep expertise in containerization technologies and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience with Red Hat OpenShift is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior and senior engineers.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear technical vision.
• Deep understanding of OpenShift testing frameworks and CI.
• Well-defined opinions on adapting OpenShift’s approach to product quality.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
• Experience in cross-team collaboration.
