Principal Backend Java Engineer - Remote

Overview

We’re hiring a Principal Backend Java Engineer with a strong background in large scale distributed systems. You’ll work on one of the largest distributed systems in the world, running on thousands of machines and handling petabytes of data, developing infrastructure and solving technical challenges.

In Short

• Design and develop large-scale distributed systems
• Deploy, monitor and operate large scale production systems
• Automate provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management
• Lead projects and mentor junior team members
• Participate in agile development with weekly sprints

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• 9+ years of Java experience
• Strong experience in large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with NoSQL and Key/Value data stores
• Experience with Kubernetes and performance tuning
• Expertise in systems architecture and stakeholder management
• Familiarity with data mining and classification algorithms
• Experience in building distributed streaming systems
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
