Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Law - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven (Senior) Legal Counsel with an interest and knowledge of commercial law in the financial and/or digital economy. You will be responsible for legal and data privacy matters within our group, identifying and mitigating legal risks in business opportunities, and ensuring that our business and support departments receive first-class support through pragmatic and strategic legal advice.

In Short

• You will advise the management and all departments in relevant areas of law, such as commercial laws, data privacy and digital technologies, licensing, and financial regulatory matters.
• You will draft, review, and negotiate our software-as-a-service, distribution, and cooperation agreements with clients and partners.
• You will develop and implement company-wide standard contract templates and guidelines.
• You will work closely with multiple departments to support projects with sound legal advice.
• You will play a key role in the analysis and optimization of our data protection management system.
• You will analyze new legal requirements in the financial and digital sectors.
• You will support our Risk & Compliance team in risk assessments.

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer or a degree in law or business law (e.g., LL.B., LL.M).
• Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to explain legal requirements and contractual terms to non-legals.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in German and English.
