Technical Service Specialist – Metal Fluids - Remote

Overview

As Technical Service Specialist – Metal Fluids, you will support our key customers across Germany (mainly Central and Northern regions) and occasionally in France, Poland, and the Czech Republic. You will be the technical expert on-site, ensuring that our products and solutions deliver consistent, reliable performance while helping customers optimize their processes.

In Short

• Perform on-site testing, analysis, and process optimization of Quaker Houghton fluids and equipment.
• Identify and document process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
• Support technical trials, fluid analyses, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare and deliver reports, SOPs, and technical training.
• Conduct plant surveys to establish baselines and monitor performance.
• Maintain strong relationships with customer teams.
• Provide emergency technical support when required.
• Travel to customer sites approximately 75% of the time.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with measurements, mechanical systems, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Native-level German and professional English required.
• Safety-conscious, proactive, analytical, customer-focused, and results-driven.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, valid driving license, and willingness to travel extensively.
