Provi is transforming the wholesale alcohol industry with a leading B2B digital marketplace. We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Data Platform Team to build the foundation for analytics, operational intelligence, and AI-powered experiences.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud-native data pipelines.
• Ensure data reliability, observability, and trust through robust monitoring.
• Build data models for analytics and AI/ML workloads.
• Partner with teams to support deployment of AI-powered features.
• Develop infrastructure for reproducible ML workflows.
• Modernize legacy data systems into modular architectures.
• Define best practices for data governance and privacy.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering excellence.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging tools and frameworks.
• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering for architectural guidance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software/data engineering.
• Experience leading large-scale data infrastructure initiatives.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Strong understanding of streaming and batch processing frameworks.
• Experience with modern data stack tools.
• Familiarity with AI agent workflows is a plus.
• Deep understanding of data architecture patterns.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable in an Agile environment with CI/CD practices.
