In Short

  • Lead the Corporate Actuarial M&A modeling team.
  • Drive the overall success of the Corporate Actuarial Team.
  • Perform corporate transaction valuations and due diligence.
  • Develop and maintain acquisition models.
  • Interact with senior individuals from other departments.
  • Manage a team of two people.
  • Model various M&A opportunities and present results to management.
  • Improve processes related to M&A diligence and modeling.
  • Evaluate potential new lines of business.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • FSA or FCAS level actuary preferred.
  • Experience in employee benefits, P&C, or life insurance.
  • Excellent spreadsheet and technical skills.
  • Previous M&A or reinsurance experience preferred.
  • Staff management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel periodically.
  • Analytical and inquisitive mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to Birmingham, AL is a plus.
