Overview

The Account Manager serves as the service relationship lead for Protective’s Employee Benefits Division (EBD) key accounts, focusing on retention, satisfaction, and growth through proactive engagement and collaboration.

• Manage service relationships for key accounts in Employee Benefits.
• Conduct stewardship and renewal meetings with clients.
• Develop annual account plans with retention and satisfaction goals.
• Identify at-risk accounts and recommend actions.
• Ensure operational issues are escalated and resolved.
• Collaborate with Sales, Underwriting, and Marketing for customer experience.
• Leverage CRM data to monitor account performance.
• Prepare reports for internal leadership on account status.
• Support the launch of new tools and processes.
• Travel up to 40% as needed.

Requirements

• Exceptional relationship management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in CRM, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to balance strategic and tactical execution.
• 5+ years in Account Management or Sales within Employee Benefits.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience supporting brokers or channel partners preferred.
• Highly collaborative and organized.
