Overview

Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is seeking an experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse to provide competent nursing care in a supportive environment focused on patient satisfaction and safety.

• Position: Direct Care Registered Nurse II - Postpartum
• Work Shift: Full Time, Night Shift (7:00pm-7:00am)
• Location: Woodbridge, VA
• Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates
• Responsible for performing nursing care using the nursing process
• Preferred qualifications include a BSN or MSN
• Must maintain certifications such as ACLS and BLS
• Experience in Postpartum nursing preferred
• Part of a team providing care in a community-focused hospital

Requirements

• RN License (Compact/Multi-State or Single State - Virginia)
• Education: Associate's, Bachelor's, or higher nursing degree
• 2 years of Postpartum nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS certifications to be obtained within 1 year of hire
• NRP certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards of nursing
