Senior Engineer, Application & Information Security - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a senior security professional to provide hands-on leadership to continue maturing the Information Security at Power Factors. This role is critical for ensuring the security of our applications in the renewable energy sector.

In Short

• Lead the evolution of information security at Power Factors.
• Provide thought leadership in security architecture and threat modeling.
• Collaborate with developers to fix vulnerabilities and implement security protocols.
• Support the AppSec team with existing tools and processes.
• Identify security weaknesses in software products.
• Review application architectures for secure designs.
• Conduct internal security training for developers.
• Work in a hybrid model: 2 days in-office, 3 days remote.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development or application security.
• Strong programming skills in C#, Go, JavaScript, and Python.
• Expertise in authentication systems like OIDC and SAML.
• Experience with security tools like SCA, SAST, and DAST.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good understanding of enterprise SaaS application architecture.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts effectively.
