Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

Poppi is looking for an eager Staff Accountant to join our rapidly growing accounting team. You will be responsible for month end closing entries, balance sheet account reconciliation and various process improvement projects. You will help ensure our general ledger is kept accurate and our month-end closes are efficient and comply with accounting policies and procedures.

In Short

• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain and reconcile the company’s general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolution of discrepancies
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the annual audit process
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve any accounting issues or discrepancies
• Assist in preparing financial analysis and reports for management to support decision-making
• Ad hoc reporting as needed by management

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or finance
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
• CPG accounting experience preferred
• ERP navigation – NetSuite experience preferred
