Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant will report to the Senior Accountant and be responsible for performing a combination of calculating, posting, verifying and reconciling duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

• Responsible for performing complex accounting needs for Custom Health.
• Guide accounting daily operations.
• Reconcile accounts and finalize financial reports.
• Resolve account discrepancies and analyze financial status.
• Maintain financial records and reports.
• Assist with budget and close processes.
• Conduct internal audits.
• Maintain accounts payable documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and NetSuite or other ERP system, required.
• Knowledge of payroll processing via third party processors, required.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll processes, helpful.
• Experience in period end closing process, helpful.
• Ability to support accounts receivable process across multiple entities, desirable.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Professional integrity with confidential information.
• Strong MS Excel skills, required.
