Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Staff Accountant position involves performing a variety of professional level accounting duties, including preparation and reconciliation of financial transactions and reports, while also assisting in audits and internal controls.

In Short

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations using Blackline software.
• Calculate and maintain accruals for various expenses.
• Monitor prepaid accounts for proper amortization.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules on FAS Software System.
• Assist with month-end close duties.
• Prepare documentation for audits and financial statements.
• Develop business processes to strengthen internal controls.
• Handle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• May require travel to branch locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
