Staff Accountant - Remote

Overview

Accompany Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance Team. As the Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and play a key role in ensuring the integrity of our financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. In Short

• Support the day-to-day accounting operations of multiple legal entities, including accounts payable, treasury and general ledger.
• Review, match and reconcile daily bank transactions.
• Manage vendor creation and ensure A/P invoices are processed accurately and timely.
• Oversee corporate credit card compliance, ensuring receipts and documentation align with company standards.
• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely.
• Assist with the monthly financial closes, including creating monthly journal entries and performing account reconciliations.
• Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with requests from external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings.
• Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 0-2 years of accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience preparing complex audit schedules.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to track and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Exceptionally motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
