Overview

The VAT CoE Team Lead will organize and oversee EMEA VAT operations, ensuring timely and accurate VAT reporting and compliance with local tax and accounting rules.

In Short

  • Manage and train a team of 5-8 VAT professionals.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT reporting and local tax regulations.
  • Coordinate VAT processes with various departments and external providers.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of VAT-related IT systems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation on VAT policies and processes.
  • Identify and manage VAT risk areas in cooperation with the Tax Team.
  • Contribute to global tax projects and VAT strategies.
  • Experience in VAT compliance processes in the EMEA region is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Hybrid work model with flexible hours.

Requirements

  • Higher education in taxes, law, accounting, finance, or economics.
  • Deep knowledge of VAT compliance processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in VAT reporting.
  • At least 3 years of team management experience.
  • Very good computer skills, especially in MS Excel.
  • Licensed tax advisor.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Methodical problem-solving approach.
  • Strong time management skills.
