Senior Operational Technology (OT) Network Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement advanced network systems.
• Design, configure, deploy and maintain OT local and wide area networks.
• Manage installation, configuration, integration and support of software and hardware.
• Monitor OT network performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Supervise technicians/contractors in repairs and service additions.
• Create and maintain documentation for OT network configuration and processes.
• Participate in on-field construction and plant commissioning activities.
• Perform server and security audits and system backups.
• Ensure network connectivity of all servers and workstations.
• Ability to travel as needed (estimated at 25%).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related major.
• Industry leading certification in networking (e.g., CISCO) preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in related industry, preferably in energy/utility.
• Strong knowledge of communications protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and TCP/IP.
• Knowledge of cyber security practices including NERC/CIP and NIST.
• Ability to design, configure and support complex WANs.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting network performance and packet analysis tools.
• Familiarity with OT software and hardware (Ignition, PLC, RTU) preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a cross-functional environment.
