Overview

The Collateral Specialist at Plaza Home Mortgage is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the timely delivery of collateral for loan purchases, while maintaining effective communication with Correspondents and warehouse banks.

In Short

• Track daily collateral shipped reports.
• Contact Correspondents regarding outstanding collateral packages.
• Communicate with warehouse banks to clear loans for purchase.
• Run daily funded allocation reports.
• Check outstanding aged collateral reports.
• Assess timely MERS Beneficial Interest and Servicing transfers.
• Monitor daily warehouse bank exception reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in the mortgage banking industry required.
• Experience with MERS online system activities desired.
• Excellent communication skills essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks required.
• Ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions within policy guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Internet Browsers.
• Knowledge of DataTrac a plus.
