Senior Instructional Designer (Contract) - Remote

Overview

PHIL is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join our Learning & Development team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. This role will focus on building, organizing, and continuously improving our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work (SW), and Reference Guides across the organization.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain clear, accurate SOPs, Standard Work, and Reference Guides.
• Partner with frontline teams, process owners, and leadership to document evolving workflows.
• Work directly inside operational queues to gain deep process understanding.
• Lead regular audits and updates of documentation to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
• Support scalable training asset creation in collaboration with the Learning & Development team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Writing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience creating SOPs, Standard Work, and Reference Guides.
• 2+ years working in a fast-paced startup environment, ideally in healthcare.
• Licensed technician with the ability to work directly in operational workflows.
• Strong instructional design skills with a talent for simplifying complex processes.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally.
