SMHS Clinical Lead - Remote

Overview

The SMHS Clinical Lead will take full ownership of the Secondary Mental Health Service within the EAP, leading and improving pathways for high-quality care.

In Short

• Provide professional and clinical leadership across the SMHS team.
• Oversee the Secondary Mental Health care pathway.
• Line manage Clinical Case Managers and EAP Counsellors.
• Chair team meetings and contribute to governance forums.
• Maintain oversight of risk management and safeguarding.
• Manage a small clinical caseload alongside leadership responsibilities.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Use evidence-based assessments and interventions.
• Monitor service performance and drive improvement.
• Contribute to audits and the development of policies.

Requirements

• Professional registration (NMC, HCPC, BACP, etc.).
• Significant experience within Secondary Mental Health Services.
• Strong clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Confidence in delivering clinical supervision.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
