As a Legal Counsel at Paymentology, you will support our global growth by delivering practical legal solutions that balance risk with commercial needs.

In Short

• Develop a deep understanding of Paymentology’s business and regulatory landscape.
• Provide high-quality advice on legal issues including contract enforceability and compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• Partner with internal teams to align legal advice with business objectives.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and design mitigation strategies.
• Support the development of internal legal frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with external counsel and relay advice to stakeholders.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research across various jurisdictions.
• Provide internal legal training and briefings.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with 4-6 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial law.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent drafting ability for legal opinions and memoranda.
• Background in banking or financial regulatory frameworks is a bonus.
• Experience in contract negotiation and advisory in fintech or technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across time zones.
• Commercially savvy and solution-oriented.
