Head of Risk and Compliance - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Risk and Compliance to lead our compliance efforts within our FCA-regulated EMI (Electronic Money Institution). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in EMI compliance leadership, with a strong understanding of UK and EU compliance legislation and best practices.

• Lead and manage the onboarding and transaction monitoring teams within the compliance department.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate AML, sanctions, fraud, and other compliance risks.
• Interview, hire, and onboard top compliance professionals.
• Develop and enhance key compliance policies and procedures.
• Drive operational efficiency initiatives.
• Conduct regular audits of compliance processes.
• Develop and implement departmental objectives and key performance indicators.
• Communicate regularly with top management on compliance matters.
• Drive technological improvements within the compliance department.
• Develop and implement a strategic vision for scaling the client base.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EMI compliance leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of UK and EU compliance legislation and best practices.
• Proven experience in team building and management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
