Overview

The Senior Professional Services Pre Sales Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Palo Alto Networks Sales team by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate services to ensure successful outcomes.

In Short

  • Partner with Services Sales Managers to support core and speedboat account teams.
  • Design and architect implementation and optimization solutions.
  • Assist customers with planning for large-scale technology transformations.
  • Run virtual and in-person customer discovery workshops.
  • Translate technical solutions into business value for C-level executives.
  • Support a large team of sales reps as the services technical resource.
  • Drive services revenue in a specific territory.
  • Domestic and potential international travel required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in security, infrastructure, or cloud technologies.
  • 2+ years in a consultative or sales role.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience creating technical documentation for sales and delivery teams.
  • Quota-carrying sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of security infrastructure including firewalls and cloud environments.
  • BS technical degree or equivalent military experience required.
