Overview

The Human Resources Generalist is a senior, hands-on HR role responsible for executing core human resources functions while serving as a trusted partner to executive leadership.

In Short

  • Serve as a primary HR partner to one of the CEOs and their teams.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations and performance management.
  • Oversee onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Support employee benefits administration.
  • Utilize HRIS and ATS platforms for HR operations.
  • Track HR metrics and trends for leadership insights.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects and policy development.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee HR-related questions.
  • Promote a positive and compliant work environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR management, particularly in a startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of California labor laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage complex HR matters.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Experience with employee relations and performance management.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations, including HIPAA and ADA.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Capability to support training and development initiatives.
  • Ability to track and analyze HR metrics.
