The Associate Software Development Engineer in Test is responsible for working closely with our Automation Architect and QA engineers to enhance our automation frameworks, design and develop automated test scripts, and ensure the highest quality standards for our software products.

In Short

Collaborating with the Test Automation Architect to evaluate and learn existing automation frameworks.
Developing, executing, and maintaining automation test scripts.
Minimizing manual testing by identifying high-ROI test cases for automation.
Being part of an Agile Engineering team for the full software development life-cycle.
Ensuring functionality delivered in each sprint is well tested.
Developing smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites.
Documenting, maintaining, and monitoring software defects.
Recommending strategies to improve test plans and processes.
Maintaining records of test results and generating historical analysis.
Mentoring Manual testers in automation efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
1-2 years of experience with programming languages (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Python).
1-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a focus on test automation.
Hands-on experience with open-source automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
Extensive experience in automating UI and API tests.
Experience writing SQL queries and performing database testing.
Exposure to mobile automation tools (Appium, XCUItest, Espresso) is a plus.
Experience in integrating automation solutions within CI/CD pipelines.
Strong debugging skills and comfortable providing technical support.
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
