Overview

We are a boutique law firm based in Monterey Park, California, seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support our attorneys in civil/business litigation and family law matters.

In Short

• Assist attorneys in handling family law matters, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and financial disclosures.
• Conduct client interviews related to domestic disputes and civil litigation.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings and discovery requests.
• Prepare evidence and documentation for hearings and trials.
• Research legal information and validate findings.
• Coordinate with clients, courts, and third-party professionals.
• Maintain accurate billing and time entries.
• Prepare written reports and legal correspondence.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Family Law and/or Civil Litigation.
• Experience working in California-based law firms is preferred.
• Strong understanding of case workflows and court procedures.
• Familiarity with billing practices.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information.
• Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
