The Optimism Foundation is seeking an Ecosystem Marketing Manager, Apps who lives and breathes DeFi to spearhead co-marketing initiatives across the Superchain ecosystem. This role is focused on applications, with an initial emphasis on DeFi, payments, and other TradFi use cases. Over time, the scope will expand to include a broader range of app categories. It's perfect for someone who gets excited about yield strategies, understands liquidity dynamics, and can translate complex DeFi concepts into clear, compelling narratives tailored to both degen and institutional audiences.

In Short

• Own co-marketing initiatives with app developers and chain operators in the Superchain ecosystem.
• Execute growth strategies to increase the adoption of Superchain applications.
• Develop marketing strategies targeting institutional businesses and DeFi-native audiences.
• Create and manage multimedia content, repurposing existing materials into evergreen assets.
• Drive end-user adoption across Superchain apps.
• Develop strategies to reach developers and users through various channels.
• Implement measurable marketing campaigns to build growth across the ecosystem.
• Collaborate with partners to align on messaging.
• Track and report on key performance metrics related to user adoption and engagement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in marketing, focusing on growth or ecosystem marketing.
• Experience in crypto, blockchain, or Web3 industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of DeFi, L2 scaling solutions, and the Ethereum ecosystem.
• Excellent project management skills and ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with multimedia content creation and distribution strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and optimize marketing campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with developers and technical audiences.
