Overview

The Open Home Foundation is looking for a Protocol Engineer based in Europe to join our Ecosystem department, responsible for developing various projects including ESPHome and Home Assistant integrations.

In Short

Implement new features and fix bugs within Home Assistant integrations for various Open Home Protocols.
Test devices for the “Works with Home Assistant” certification program.
Support users on platforms like GitHub and Discord.
Debug issues with smart home protocol support.
Collaborate with team members on various protocols.
Prioritize tasks on the project board with team members.
Review code from team members and contributors.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in back-end development.
1+ years of experience with (async) Python 3.
Experience with Git and GitHub.
Familiarity with at least one smart home protocol standard.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
