Overview

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing daily accounting tasks for the AVMA Professional Liability insurance lines, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely processing of transactions.

• Process daily invoices and cash receipts for accounting lines.
• Review accounts for accuracy before posting.
• Coordinate check requests and payments.
• Reconcile transactions and follow up on discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end processing and record journal entries.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience required.

• Experience with accounts receivable and reconciliation.
