Director of Accounting - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Accounting at Olo, you will lead a high-performing accounting team while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

In Short

• Lead day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities.
• Review financials and conduct variance analysis.
• Collaborate with other departments on financial impacts of new projects.
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex matters.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting.
• Maintain internal control environment and update controls as needed.
• Coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and improve systems and procedures for efficiency.
• Manage staffing responsibilities and employee performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ in management roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• CPA certification required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience in a strong control environment (e.g., SOX 404).
• ERP implementation experience is a plus.
• Private Equity, SaaS, M&A, and Tax experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
