Director of Accounting - Remote

Overview

Form Health is a virtual obesity medicine clinic delivering multi-disciplinary evidence-based obesity treatment through telemedicine. We are seeking our first dedicated accounting hire to establish our accounting foundation, team, processes, and systems that will support our next stage of growth.

In Short

• Build and lead the accounting function, including hiring and managing a team.
• Establish accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Own Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Optimize the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process.
• Lead preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage technical accounting topics.
• Lead systems implementation and optimization.
• Ensure regulatory compliance in healthcare-related accounting.
• Partner with FP&A and leadership for actionable insights.
• Support fundraising and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting areas.
• Proven track record building or scaling an accounting function.
• Experience with healthcare services and multi-entity consolidation.
• Experience with accounting systems like NetSuite and QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Hands-on mindset with strategic thinking.
• Preference for candidates located in the Boston, MA area.
