Regional Health & Safety Manager - Remote

Overview

The Regional Health & Safety Manager will lead Health & Safety improvement and performance across multiple plants in the North American region, partnering with plant leaders to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

In Short

• Lead and influence plant leadership to improve H&S performance.
• Enforce regulatory requirements associated with health and safety.
• Implement O-I’s Health & Safety Management System.
• Drive EHS culture change through coaching and mentoring.
• Assist plants in developing and implementing EHS improvement plans.
• Ensure proper tools and guidance for HS programs.
• Act as a subject matter expert in assigned technical areas.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Provide oversight to improve workers’ compensation programs.
• Conduct training activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in EH&S, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Professional certifications preferred (CSP, CIH, CHMM).
• Knowledge of EHS regulations.
• High level of interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve problems creatively.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
