Overview

TransLash Media is a non-profit media organization which uses the power of journalism and nonfiction storytelling to tell trans stories in order to save trans lives, as well as to protect democracy. We do so through award-winning content across podcast, film, written, zine and digital platforms.

In Short

• Develop and implement a funding strategy.
• Work closely with the CEO to craft and execute the development strategy.
• Collaborate with COO to build Development operations systems.
• Manage relationships with current donors.
• Coordinate the solicitation process for grants.
• Partner with leadership to inform prospect strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and implement a new CRM database.
• Build a culture of generosity within the team.
• Hold knowledge of current affairs related to trans communities.
• Serve as a spokesperson for TransLash Media in fundraising spaces.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a fundraising role.
• Experience creating systems and working with trans/queer communities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced media company.
• Self-motivated independent thinker.
• Experience with donor databases or CRM preferred.
