Director of Development - Remote

Overview

Per Scholas is seeking a Director, Development to become a member of the national development team. You will hold key responsibilities in funder relations, corporate engagement, grant writing, and organizational storytelling for a diverse funding portfolio.

In Short

• Lead relationship management for assigned campus funding portfolios.
• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy.
• Attend and prepare for key funder meetings.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with new funding sources.
• Synthesize information to articulate goals and outcomes to funders.
• Coordinate with local program teams for grant proposals.
• Forecast budget projections for assigned campuses.
• Lead development aspects of local fundraising events.
• Support quarterly Advisory Board meetings.
• Coordinate with communications staff for development purposes.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant development experience.
• Familiarity with the DC philanthropic community.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Results-driven approach with a commitment to outcomes.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
• Availability to travel 15-20%.
