Application Engineer - Optical Metrology - Remote

Overview

The Global Business Group at Nova is looking for an Application Engineer who is a highly technical, motivated individual to support our growth in the metrology market. The Application Engineer is someone who will engage with Nova customers to develop high-value, innovative optical metrology applications in semiconductor manufacturing; apply robust statistical techniques to optimize applications for the high-volume manufacturing (HVM) fab environment: and provide region support for new product introduction, evaluation (beta, head-to-head) and new tool qualification activities.

• Develop metrology solutions and supply on-site application support to end users.
• Establish good technical relationships with customers.

• Perform pre-sale demonstrations and presentations.
• Travel and support US sites for evaluations and tool acceptance activities.
• Help develop new applications in coordination with subsidiaries.
• Provide sales support and gather metrology needs.

• Strong background in metrology technologies is desired.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering or relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with semiconductor processes.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong analytical skills and good attitude.
• Proficient in English, both writing and verbal communications.
