Finance Controller for Taiwan & Japan - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for an exceptional Taiwan & Japan Finance Controller, who is expected to build up strategic Business Partnership with relevant stakeholders and manage all financial as well as accounting operation of Taiwan and Japan in all aspects, reporting to Asia Pacific Finance Director.

In Short

• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and in accordance with US GAAP and Local GAAP.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Take full responsibility for the company’s statutory, internal, and SOX audits.
• Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure accurate financial information.
• Support the preparation of the annual operation plan and monthly budget reviews.
• Plan and manage cash flow, including capital investments, collections, and payments.
• Oversee and manage all aspects related to payroll calculation and review.
• Lead and mentor local accounting teams.
• Act as a strategic business partner to other departments.
• Support the company’s global financial processes in a changing environment.

Requirements

• Proven managing skills and team leadership experience.
• Well-organized with ability to prioritize tasks and work under strict and demanding schedule.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, detailed oriented and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong English and Chinese capabilities, both written and spoken.
